New Adult Tennis Leagues Starting this Fall

Myia McAllister | October 04, 2024

Keep your competitive spirit a flame this fall season! New adult leagues are revving up, and you won’t want to miss them! Check them out below:

Fall Under 40 Social League

If you love the iconic Mix ‘n’ Chill summer league, then you will surely fall in love with its sister league.  The Fall Under 40 Social League will be organized by skill level, and tennis pro Kseniya Zonova will assist players who are new to the game. Learning drills and ‘challenge court’ match play will be arranged to encourage friendly competition.

“What’s fun about this league is players can show up for as many of the Fridays as they are available,” USTA Saint Louis Executive Director Megan Kovacs said. “Dominic Marticorena, the league coordinator, and Kseniya Zonova, the teaching pro, will organize court play each week, ensuring that everyone in attendance stays engaged and has plenty of play time.”

This is a hybrid play opportunity. The first four weeks of session one will be held outdoors at Dwight Davis and the second half will be indoors at Frontenac Racquet Club. The following sessions will remain indoors.

This league runs indoors through May 2025 and will return to outside courts as the weather gets warmer. Matches are always on Fridays, which makes it a perfect way to transition into a fun weekend! Session dates can be found below.

  • Session 1: October 4 – November 22
  • Session 2: December 6 to January 31
  • Session 3: February 7 to March 28
  • Session 4: April 4 to May 23

Players do not need a USTA membership to participate, and only a free USTA account is needed to register. Want to get your racquet swingin’? Click here to register.

Adult 18 & Over Leagues

For all players 18 and over, this league might be the one for you! The league has teams ranging from 2.5-5.0 skill level for women and 3.0-5.0 for men. Not sure what level you are? Click here to do a free USTA self rating assessment.

There are two divisions, the Adult 18 & Over Fall League which plays indoors on Sundays and the Adult 18 & Over Day League, where 3.0 level players play Monday, 4.0 players on Tuesday, and 3.5 players on Wednesday.

The fall session runs September to mid-January. If you enjoy your time playing in the fall, you might consider continuing into the spring session which runs mid-January to early May.

At the end of the spring season, winning teams from both the fall and spring leagues will have the opportunity to advance to the District Championships.

“The District Championships are organized and played very similarly to the Section Championships played in the summer,” Kovacs said. “The District Championship winning team at each level advances to the Section Championship. At Sections, the teams compete against the other districts in our section for a chance to represent USTA Missouri Valley at the National Championships played in the fall.”
