Internship Programs

The Diversity & Inclusion department sponsors the annual USTA D&I Summer Internship program at the USTA Headquarters in White Plains, N.Y.; the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y.; and the USTA National Campus at Lake Nona in Orlando, FL. The program was designed to support USTA in building a diverse pipeline of talent. Departments throughout the USTA opt into the program.  More than 120 interns have participated in the program since its inception in 2013. The program has resulted in a number of full-time hires and countless D&I interns have returned each year as seasonal employees during the US Open. For more information, click here. (not open until 2021)

Employee Engagement

To ensure a culture of inclusion, belonging and engagement at USTA, we have Business Resource Groups (BRGs).  The BRGs are organizationally-supported groups of employees reflecting a specific dimension of diversity. Members of the BRGs engage in activities to support professional development, community engagement and cultural awareness. They are also tapped for their insights to inform business priorities. USTA’s 7 BRGs are: ACE (African American and Caribbean Employees) Network, Asian American, Latino Hispanic, Partners (LGBT), Women’s, Working Parents and Young Professionals.
