Arthur Kapetanakis | July 25, 2024

Thursday's tennis draw ceremony at Roland Garros revealed the first-round opponents for Team USA at the Paris 2024 Olympics, with matchups now set in men's and women's singles, men's and women's doubles, and mixed doubles. Play will begin on Saturday at the site of the French Open, with the medal rounds to be held from Aug. 2-4.

Eleven of the 13 entrants for Team USA are seeded, led by second seed Coco Gauff in women's singles and seventh seed Taylor Fritz in men's singles. Rounding out the singles competitors are: Fifth seed Jessica Pegula, eighth seed Danielle Collins, 11th seed Emma Navarro, ninth seed Tommy Paul, Christopher Eubanks and Marcos Giron.

Gauff and Pegula are the top seeds in women's doubles, with Collins and Desirae Krawczyk seeded fourth. Fritz and Paul are seeded third in men's doubles, just ahead of fourth seeds Austin Krajicek and Rajeev Ram. Fritz and Gauff will also team up as the lone American entry in mixed doubles, where they are seeded third.

The United States is the leader in Olympic tennis medals since the sport was reinstated as an Olympic medal event in 1988. The American tennis teams have won 14 Olympic gold medals in the Open Era, 11 more than any other nation.
