USTA Heart of America Grants

The USTA Heart of America district is committed to promoting tennis at the local level. To that end, we offer grants to assist member organizations to initiate or expand their tennis programming activities. Our long-term goal is to help programs become self-sufficient.

Application Process: Applications must be submitted ON-LINE

​​​​​​​Grant Deadline: Grant award notification dates will be February 14, April 11, July 11, August 29, and October 17.

  • Grants will be awarded until available funds are exhausted.

Grant Amounts: The amount of funding awarded depends on the amount requested and the available balance in the Grants budget at the time of the application’s review.

Grant Areas:

  • Community Tennis Association (CTA) Start-Up

  • Junior Team Tennis

  • 10 and Under Tennis

  • Tennis On Campus

  • Wheelchair Tennis

  • Junior Recreational Tennis Programming

  • Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in Tennis

  • Schools Tennis Programming

  • Special Consideration Tennis Programming (Other)

Accountability: Grant recipients must return an ON-LINE accountability form at the completion of their event/programming session, by November 15, 2025. One accountability form should be completed for each grant award received per calendar year. Grant recipients will receive half of the grant award when grant is approved and the second half when the accountability form is completed. 

  • Grant recipients will also be given the link to the accountability form when notified of the grant award.

USTA Missouri Valley Grants

USTA Missouri Valley offers grants to assist organizations in initiating or expanding their tennis programming activities. The section offers a variety of grants that support this initiative and you can find the opportunities below.

 

Section Level Grant Categories: (7 different grant categories to choose from)

 

  • Section Grant: National Tennis Month Program Assistance

    • The application deadline is April 11th to provide adequate time to prepare for the events that are to take place during May which is National Tennis Month.

    • The first 20 will receive a $250 grant

  • Section Grant: Serving Up Tennis Grants (Not-For-Profit Organizations) 

    • $3,000 cap per calendar year, per organization

    • The Serving Up Tennis Grant may be used to start or expand programs and/or leagues for players of all ages, abilities and populations.

  • Section Grant: Grow The Game Tennis Grants (For-Profit Organizations)

    • $750 cap per calendar year, per organization

    • The Grow the Game Grant may be used to start or expand programs for players of all ages, abilities and populations.

  • Section Grant: Pro-Circuit Assistance Grant

    • USTA Missouri Valley will provide 10% of the purse for each Pro Circuit Tournament week. 

    •  

      USTA Missouri Valley supports Pro Circuit Tournaments that implement programs/special days that engage the community and encourage play during the week of the tournament.

       

  • Section Grant: Adaptive Programming Assistance Grant

    • Financial assistance varies per submission and efforts

  • Section Grant: Wheelchair Programming Assistance Grant

    • Financial assistance varies per submission and efforts

  • Section Grant: Facility Grant Assistance

    • This section facility grant can only be used in conjunction with the USTA national facility grant and their grant requirements.

2025 Section Grant Application Deadlines:

All grants will be notified within 30 days of the following deadlines: (Unless noted otherwise within a specific grant's guidelines)​​​​​​

  • Friday, February 14 - Approval letters sent out on or before Wednesday, March 12

  • Friday, April 11 - Approval letters sent out on or before Wednesday, May 7

  • Friday, July 11 - Approval letters sent out on or before Wednesday, August 6

  • Friday, August 29 - Approval letters sent out on or before Wednesday, September 17

  • Friday, October 17 - Approval letters sent out on or before Wednesday, November 12
