USTA Heart of America Grants

USTA Heart of America is committed to promoting tennis at the local level. To that end, we offer grants to assist member organizations to initiate or expand their tennis programming activities. Our long-term goal is to help programs become self-sufficient.

  • Applications must be submitted online

  • Grant Deadlines:

  • Grants will be awarded until available funds are exhausted.

USTA Heart of America offers 9 grant categories: (up to $500)

  • CTA "Start-Up"

  • Junior Team Tennis

  • 10 and Under Tennis

  • Tennis On Campus

  • Wheelchair

  • Junior Recreation Programming

  • Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

  • Schools Programming

  • Special Consideration or Other

Grant recipients must return a program-end accountability form prior to receiving any additional funding by October 31, 2024.

Missouri Valley
USTA Missouri Valley Grants

USTA Missouri Valley offers grants to assist organizations in initiating or expanding their tennis programming activities. The section offers a variety of grants that support this initiative and you can find the opportunities below.

 

Section Level Grant Categories: (7 different grant categories to choose from)

  • Section Grant: National Tennis Month Program Assistance - Please click here for more information about this specific grant

    • The application deadline is April 12th to provide adequate time to prepare for the events that are to take place during May which is National Tennis Month.

    • There will be 20 approved applications for $250.00

  • Section Grant: Serving Up Tennis Grants (Not-For-Profit Organizations) 

    • $3,000 cap per calendar year, per organization

    • The Serving Up Tennis Grant may be used to start or expand programs and/or leagues for players of all ages, abilities and populations.

  • Section Grant: Grow The Game Tennis Grants (For-Profit Organizations)

    • $750 cap per calendar year, per organization

    • The Grow the Game Grant may be used to start or expand programs for players of all ages, abilities and populations.

  • Section Grant: Pro-Circuit Assistance Grant

    • The USTA Missouri Valley will provide 8% of the purse for each Pro Circuit Tournament week. 

      • 25K tournament = $2000 and 15K tournament = $1200

    • The USTA Missouri Valley supports Pro Circuit Tournaments that implement programs/special days that engage the community and encourage play during the week of the tournament.

  • Section Grant: Adaptive Programming Assistance Grant

    • Financial assistance varies per submission and efforts

  • Section Grant: Wheelchair Programming Assistance Grant

    • Financial assistance varies per submission and efforts

  • Section Grant: Facility Grant Assistance

    • This section facility grant can only be used in conjunction with the USTA national facility grant and their grant requirements.

All grants will be notified within 30 days of the following deadlines: (Unless noted otherwise within a specific grant's guidelines)​​​​​​

  • Friday, February 16

    • Approval letters sent out on or before Wednesday, March 13

  • Friday, April 12

    • Approval letters sent out on or before Wednesday, May 8

  • Friday, July 12

    • Approval letters sent out on or before Wednesday, August 7

  • Friday, August 23

    • Approval letters sent out on or before Wednesday, September 18

  • Friday, October 18

    • Approval letters sent out on or before Wednesday, November 13
